| Things have been action packed these last couple of months, and I am loving it. I had about a month off to spend at home with family and friends and back to WOL I came. We jumped right in to Missions Conference and Snow Camp, and things have flown by. I am the Snow Camp Intern here at WOL so everything I do revolve around Snow Camp, and that is such a blessing. I love every moment of that. We have gone through two weeks of Snow Camp already and see some 40+ salvations, PTL. We have another weekend of Snow Camp coming up so quickly, only one more day and it begins IF you would please pray for us and that God would be glorified in each of us on staff and as students, that would be a blessing. Thanks so much!! | | |
| Okay, so I know that I haven't updated this thing in like forever, but I have an alright excuse. I have been in the Czech Republic for the last two months with little computer access Things here have been absolutely amazing. We have had 5 weeks of camp and have seen numerous people come to know Christ as there personal savior through out this summer. I have had the opportunity to work with 12 American girls(on STC) and have grown to love each one of them individually. The missionaries here are absolutely amazing and the Czech staff are so much fun. It has been such a huge blessing to learn the culture and the language. The food is a lot different but so so good. I will be leaving to return to the states in less the a week, which is such a bittersweet thing for me. I look forward to going back to the states but I still will long to be here. Well, I have to jet. Until next time!! | | |
| Ok so I haven't updated this thing in months and sorry to say I am not sure if I will be able to update it in a few more months. Life has been filled with a lot of events these past fews months. I went to 5 wedding , drove home and back to Word of Life (a 9 hour drive) three times and have had to say good bye to some of my closest friends for the summer...al within the last month and about a week. Things have finally settled down, but only for a few days. Right now I am preparing to leave for the Czech Republic for the whole summer. I leave next Thursday and will be gone for two months. I am so excited but there is a lot to get done before I go. Please pray for me if you get the chance! Well, I have got to jet! Until next time | | |

Derrick, Me, Dan, Josh and Julie At Peggy's Cove!!
Right now I am super tired but let me tell you it was well worth it. Me, Julie, Josh and Dan took a road trip to Nova Scotia on Thursday evening to visit our good friend Derrick and returned this morning at 5 am. It took about 15 1/2 hrs to get up there and about 15 hrs to get back and I would do it again if I could. The trip was amazing, filled with a lot of laughs and new experiences.
| Being back at Word of Life is pretty cool. I have been back for about a week and a half now and have had a blast since. There has been a lot going on since being here. The first couple of days, were catch up days...see what is going on in those people's live that are the closest to you, unpack, re-adjust...that sort of thing. On Wednesday, I got to take Ian to the airport with Dan and Claire. That was fun but sad to see him go. It's always hard to see someone off who you know you won't see for a while. Thursday Krissy and I ate dinner at the Baker's house...so good; grilled chicken sandwhichs and rice-a-roni...mmm,mmm!!! The weekend sort of flew by, but Sunday sticks in my mind the most. I went to church with Josh, Julie and Dan and then we went to the General Store for breakfast. In the afternoon, I got to climb Mt. Severance for my very first time and it was amazing. It is so awesome to stand at the top of a mountain and see God's glory. Now here I am on Tuesday and so blessed. These next few weeks are going to be crazy busy, but I am so excited. I am going to Indianapolis on Friday with Krissy and coming back on Sunday. Then Lord willing I will be going to Nova Scotia to visit Derrick with Dan, Josh and Julie. I am so excited if the Lord so wills to tarry.
A lesson I have been learning this past week or so...
"In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths."~Proverbs 3:6
This has been capitivating my thoughts for the past few days...how is it practical? In all of my ways? Looking at certain words in the passage like acknowledge and direct have been huge teaching tools for me. Acknowleding someone is to recognize them. I can't define the word direct any better than Webster's dictionary- being the straightest course. Wow, what a thought...If you recognize who God is in all of your ways, He will give you the straightest path to walk. I think that the most difficult part of this passage is the lack of ourselves in it. No more agenda's, only God's will. I often think that my will is good enough and forget that God (the creator of the entire world) has a will that is perfect. That's so refreshing, God's paths are straight(perfect) and He will lead us accordingly if we allow Him too.
